DRP

DRP is an acronym that stands for Degrees of Reading Power.  Marketed by Questar Assessments, the DRP is a global screening device that provides information about students' reading comprehension on graded passages. The DRP is administered to children as a group.  Students are asked to read passages on various topics.  The passages contain deletions that students are asked to replace from a pool of multiple choice selections. The items assess the ability to use information in the text to figure out the meaning of the text.  The results are intended to provide teachers with information to help match students with appropriate reading material.
