Expressive -- Literacy A-Z

Expressive

Expressive is a characteristic of fluency that refers to a reader’s ability to modulate his voice while reading. When a person reads expressively, he pauses at appropriate phrase boundaries and at the end of sentences. His voice reflects the mood of the character and the pace of the story. When a reader reads with expression, he sounds good and others want to listen to hear more of the story.
